Back into the heat! (and an abundance of humidity)

This time we headed due South to sunny Florida for the national ALOA convention. Two days of teaching class as well as a few days of trade show were on the agenda.

As usual, the students were great.

I consider myself very fortunate to have the caliber of student that I do.

In between an excellent convention and teaching class, there were a few moments for extracurricular activities.

A few days in California teaching great students was more fun than I could have imagined.

These guys were top notch. Which is no surprise as SAVTA is a top notch organization! If you are looking for a qualified and competent safe or vault technician, this is where you should be looking.

On the road again! The last class was in Las Vegas, this time Detroit!

One of the fun things about teaching is the different people you meet along the way. This group was no different. This was the friendliest group of people one could ever hope to meet. I hated to leave! www.LsaMichigan.org is an outstanding organization comprised of dedicated locksmiths. They go out of their way to make you feel at home, and professionalism is the order of the day. These folks are truly first rate!

Congratulations to Tony for having his Photography For The Security Professional class approved by the state of New Jersey continuing education.

He is now a certified continuing education instructor for that state.

Winter Break!

It's been cold and we've been cooped up, so we decided to get away for the weekend. Time was short and we opted for the beach again. Off season time at the shore is wonderful... You can park your car! The cameras came along too...

Basketball Season

Time for indoor sports! Here's couple from our travels so far.

Vacation time!

A recent break from the hustle and bustle found us down at the shore. As is standard operating procedure, the camera bags go along for the ride. We have a few spots where we like to set up and have some fun. Here's a few that will help in the attempt to convince the wife we need to obtain additional expensive lenses. She's a tough sell, but we're hopeful. ;-)

Fort Zeller Elementary School !!

It was our pleasure to be in the company of the 5th grade students for a hands-on demonstration of key cutting. We also covered the basics of locks and how they work. Cutting keys with a code number was demonstrated as well as automotive transponder terminology and programming. Each student cut their own house-type key and tried it out on the displays.

The students were a pleasure to hang out with and we sincerely thank the Elco School District as well as Mrs. Brunner and Mrs. Weaver for allowing us to spend some time with them. Thanks guys!
